Content, Social Media Lead & Canva Certified Enterprise Trainer
Li Chong Lim, also known as Onion Lim, is a communication and marketing expert with over five years of experience across marketing, content creation, and digital training. As the first Canva Certified Enterprise Trainer in Malaysia, he leads marketing, social media, and content strategy at Twenty-Four Consulting — while also delivering hands-on Canva and design training for government agencies, corporate teams, and universities.
From Marketing to Training
Onion’s career started in marketing — working across SEO, copywriting, social media, and campaign management before joining Twenty-Four Consulting in mid-2024. That marketing background is what makes his training different. He doesn’t just teach people how to use tools — he helps them understand how to communicate better through design.
At Twenty-Four Consulting, he quickly took on a dual role: running the company’s entire marketing engine while building out the Canva training arm. In September 2025, he became Malaysia’s first Canva Certified Enterprise Trainer — a milestone that cemented his position as the go-to person for Canva training in the country.
What Onion Does Today
Onion wears multiple hats at Twenty-Four Consulting — the first Canva Agency Partner and official reseller in Malaysia. He manages the company’s website, social media, content strategy, and marketing campaigns, while also designing and delivering Canva training programs for organisations across Malaysia.
His training clients include government agencies such as Jabatan Digital Negara, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, Kementerian Ekonomi, KTMB, Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia, and Media Prima. He has also conducted workshops at universities and colleges like Multimedia University (MMU), KAGC College, and Sunway Business School.
Beyond formal training, Onion runs popular online webinars including Design with Confidence: A Canva Workshop for Non-Designers, Create Eye-Catching Posters That Actually Work with Canva, and Designing with Canva: Essential Skills for Government Teams — reaching hundreds of participants nationwide.
Building a Community Online
Outside of the training room, Onion actively shares Canva tips and design insights across social media. He has built a personal following of 50,000+ followers across RedNote (@onionlim), TikTok (@onionlim), Instagram, and LinkedIn — creating content in both English and Chinese to reach a wider audience of learners.
He also built and manages Twenty-Four Consulting’s social media presence from the ground up, accumulating over 10 million views and 83,000+ followers across platforms in under two years.
How Onion Trains
Onion’s sessions are interactive and hands-on — designed so participants can immediately apply what they’ve learned. He focuses on practical, real-world applications rather than theory. Every session includes live demonstrations and guided exercises, and he is known for making design feel accessible and approachable, even for people with no design background.
His training programs are consistently highly rated by participants, helping professionals from all backgrounds feel more confident in visual design and communication.
Working with Onion
Whether you’re a government agency looking to train your team on Canva, a corporate organisation that wants to level up your visual communications, or an individual who wants to join a public class — Onion and the team at Twenty-Four Consulting can help.
Programs can be conducted on-site at your office or at Twenty-Four Consulting’s training hub in Cyberjaya.
